Just Start
I didn’t always know I was a runner.
In the beginning, I wasn’t fast.
I didn’t have fancy shoes.
I didn’t even know how far I could go.
I just decided to try.
So I put on my shoes and walked out the door.
That was it.
That was the start.
Not a perfect day.
Not the “right” time.
Just… a start.
Sometimes we wait too long.
We wait until we feel ready.
Until we feel better.
Until we are sure we can do it.
But the truth is, you don’t have to be ready to begin.
You just have to be willing to try.
Did you know showing up is the hardest part?
Once you start moving, your body remembers how to keep going.
Your mind gets quieter.
Your doubts will get smaller.
Even your fear starts to back off. Kind of. But it’s good to do stuff that scares you a little bit.
Starting isn’t about having it all figured out.
It’s just the choice to begin.
And every time you show up, you get stronger.
Not just in your legs, but in your mind.
I’ve started a lot of things scared.
Started runs that felt too long.
Started races that felt impossible.
Started days where everything in me wanted to quit.
But I’m still here. Still moving.
Still starting, even now.
So if you’re waiting for the perfect moment. Stop.
It’s not coming.
But you can still go.
Just start.
Start slow.
Start messy.
Start unsure.
Just start anyway.
