Hey! I’m Kaleb.

I’m a 19-year-old runner from Lethbridge, Alberta, and I’m not your average athlete. I was born with a rare genetic condition called ARHGEF9 - less than 100 people in the world have it. It makes learning harder and life different in ways I can’t always explain. But one thing I do know? I love to run.

Running is where I feel strong. It’s where I found my people. I started at parkrun with a little push from my uncle and I’ve never looked back. Since then, I’ve run the Calgary Marathon, finished the Oldman Backyard Ultra with 6 loops. Now I’m training for a 6-hour race in a mine called In the Dark and hoping to complete 100km this spring.

When I graduated, I didn’t get a diploma like everyone else. But I still celebrated in my own way, I ran for it. For every time I felt like I wasn’t enough, for every goal I wasn’t sure I’d reach.

I’ve spent a lot of my life feeling different, like no one really got me. I’ve felt alone. I’ve felt stuck. But I’ve also seen how God shows up in the details, even when life doesn’t make sense.

So if you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit in, like you’re doing everything you can and it’s still not enough, you’re not alone.

I’m just a guy chasing big goals in my bright shoes and my pink shorts. I run for it - and I hope something here helps you keep going too.
